Moving to a smaller village has had a variety of pros and cons. Last night was definitely one of the pros for us. The school organized a school concert for all the classes to sing three songs and even a visit from Pere Noel himself.

The kids were at first apprehensive about going, tired after a long day of school and travelling around the Pay de Gex. Once they arrived, they realized that everyone they knew was there and it was bound to be fun for everyone. There was some warm food for us to fill up on, and the singing was started promptly and enthusiastically.

As the kids were singning, Pere Noel arrived on his horse drawn carriage. He brought every class a box filled with candy and treats for every kids. It was pretty magical seeing him walking around with a big wicker basket on his back and a beautiful horse and carriage waiting for him. It felt very European.

The kids each got a free, lovely cupcake at the start of the party.Untitled-1Eliot’s group singing. He’s unfortunately hidden in the back.

CarysgroupJude’s group were also having fun with their songs. It’s becoming clear that these are the older kids in the school. šŸ˜‰

I think it’s really nice that it was all held outside. We’ve always had them in the gymnasiums at the various schools and this is much cozier and realistic. Love these pictures.

What you captured by the camera certainly looks like it was a whole lot of fun.
Love Mom xoxo
