A midwinters eve

The weather is nuts lately, warm, cold, rain, sun. On one of the crazy warm days last weekend, the sun set leaving behind a beautiful view of the Alps. It was nearly 6:30pm and still about 15c outside. Insanity.

Meanwhile the kids are on their winter “ski” break and although they are trying hard to make it through their ski lessons this week, it’s been nothing but rain and wind. There is hardly any snow on the nearby mountains for them to ski on. With three days left, we’re trying to be hopeful that they’ll get better conditions, but I’m not holding my breath for it.

I hope you get snow for the kids’ sake. Here, we shouldn’t have even put on our snow tires. I’ve still got them on and just as soon as I can get someone to drag my regular tires out of the shed they’re coming off. That was a waste. These pictures are very good.
