This afternoon, Dan took the younger two kids to the annual Geneva Auto Salon and checked out the latest and greatest in the automobile industry. Jude and I opted to do something a bit more close to home.

After a morning of building an amazing village out of paper, including a lovely giant tree, multiple houses, a river, roads and greenspaces, we took his art outside to get some photos of it in various natural settings. While we were walking, he came up with an interesting concept for a photo. After a bit of discussion, I assured him that we could pull off what he invisioned and we excitedly began the mini project.

We took three separate photos for his vision piece, then after we returned home, I showed him how to edit and use photoshop to make a compositional photo. The photo above he created entirely himself, editing everything himself with just my explanations to guide him. I think he did pretty awesome for his first attempt at photoshop and lightroom! The other photos he edited himself also, using lightroom. Cropping, and toning his way to happiness. I’m looking forward to what else he can come up with. IMG_9337IMG_9339IMG_9344IMG_9345

Here he is in action on the computer trying out all the settings and explaining to me his vision as he was going. I was beyond impressed and proud of him.
